Department of Philosophy and Religious Studies
At the department of philosophy and religious studies research is conducted on the main principles of world religions, their historical developments, their doctrinal, conceptual and experiential resources and the reflections of these resources on the individual and social life. It aims at understanding, interpreting, and analysing the social, psychological and philosophical aspects of religion by considering the main principles of the various disciplines of Basic Islamic Studies.
The department of Philosophy and Religious Studies consists of eight main fields: Philosophy of Religion, Education of Religion, Sociology of Religion, Psychology of Religion, History of Religions, Logic, Islamic Philosophy, and History of Philosophy.
